Martin G. Goebbel, DDS

Born in Canton, Ohio, Dr. Martin Goebbel attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. He was inducted into Alpha Epsilon Delta, Ohio Delta Chapter, for his academic accomplishments.

Dr. Goebbel received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1978. While at Ohio State, Dr. Goebbel was a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, serving as president of Psi Chapter his senior year. He received the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award for his accomplishments in the periodontal program.

Dr. Goebbel completed a General Practice Residency at the United States Public Health Service’s hospital in San Francisco, California, in 1979. He served as a dental officer in the United States Public Health Service, Indian Health Service, from 1979 through June of 1988. During this duty tour, Dr. Goebbel was a clinical instructor in the Indian Health Service Dental Assistant Training Program and a clinical instructor in the University of New Mexico Dental Hygiene Program, as well as an infection control officer at SIPI Dental Center. He worked closely with both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and OSHA.

Utilizing the knowledge and experience gained from these positions, Dr. Goebbel designed The Better Sleep Center to be a state-of-the art dental facility, which opened in July of 1988. He continues to maintain his with state-of-the art dental equipment and advanced training for himself and his staff.

Dr. Goebbel has completed a mini-residency in orofacial pain with emphasis on treating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD). He has also completed a mini-residency in dental sleep medicine. He has completed advanced training in the use of the Fotona laser in treating sleep apnea (NightLase®), advanced periodontal disease (TwinLight™ periodontal therapy) and biostimulation to aid in healing.

Barbara

Dental Assistant

Barbara graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 1999 as a dental assistant. She has worked in a dental office ever since. As a dental assistant, she is OSHA and CPR certified and attends continuing education courses regularly. She has recently taken training in sleep apnea treatment and CEREC same-day crowns.

Mary D.

Dental Assistant

Mary D. is a 1988 graduate of the University of New Mexico dental assistant program. She is a national Board Certified dental assistant with expanded functions and CPR certifications. Mary has been with the practice since it opened in 1988 and is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
